Participants emphasized that the sector supports over a million jobs and contributes significantly to the national economy, serving as a vital incubator for sustainable technologies and advanced propulsion systems.
The discussions focused on two primary pieces of legislation: the Securing America’s Fuels Act and the Farm to Fly Act. These bills aim to provide long-term financial incentives for Sustainable Aviation Fuel by restoring tax credits and integrating these fuels into existing agricultural support programs. Advocates argued that such federal backing is essential to give producers the certainty needed to expand capacity, which would benefit rural communities and farmers. By scaling the production of these renewable alternatives, the industry aims to drastically reduce lifecycle emissions compared to traditional fossil fuels.
