The prominent French business aviation company, Daher, has initiated a significant recruitment drive in Florida as it prepares to launch a second final assembly line for its aircraft. Announced during the Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo, the manufacturer is seeking an initial wave of skilled workers to staff a newly renovated facility at Witham Field in Stuart. This expansion aims to significantly increase the company’s annual production capacity, with plans to eventually assemble up to 50 aircraft per year at this location.

By establishing this new manufacturing footprint, the organization intends to supplement its existing operations in Idaho and France to meet the high demand for its specialized turboprop models. The hiring effort targets a wide range of technical roles, including airframe and powerplant mechanics, avionics technicians, and quality assurance inspectors. Initially, the Florida site will focus on producing the TBM 980 flagship model before expanding to include the Kodiak 100 and Kodiak 900 series. This strategic move not only creates dozens of high-tech jobs in the region but also shortens delivery timelines for North American customers. By centralizing more of its manufacturing and assembly activities in the United States, Daher is positioning itself to better serve its primary market while fostering local aerospace expertise and innovation.

Independent studies show that business aviation helps support 1.3 million American jobs and contributes $340 billion to the U.S. economy.
