The Cascadia Sustainable Aviation Accelerator (CSAA) is a newly formed coalition based in Washington state for sustainable aviation fuel production and adoption. The state’s budget includes funding, combined with a large private donation, toward public-private efforts aimed at reaching 1 billion gallons of yearly sustainable fuel production in the Pacific Northwest by 2035.

Such an increase in SAF output would achieve a major impact on reducing aviation emissions. The Cascadia coalition is focused on removing risks and barriers to producers and sourcing green electricity and hydrogen sources to enable cleaner fuel production.
