As electric aircraft startup company Electra prepares to pursue FAA certification for its EL2 Ultra Short Take Off & Landing aircraft, tests were conducted at Watertown International Airport in up-state New York. The aircraft, propelled by electricity, needs only a short runway of a few hundred feet to get airborne.

Aircraft like these promise new solutions for business aviation, offering “transformative” capabilities for low-congestion ground operations and emissions-free air travel.
