Pilatus Aircraft recently began the construction of a $50 million complex at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, Colorado. This upcoming site is intended to function as a specialized center for customer deliveries while simultaneously increasing the Swiss company’s engineering work in the United States and the assembly of cabin seating. The project is expected to generate over 50 high-paying local jobs, reinforcing the manufacturer’s presence in a region where it already maintains several operational hubs.
Business aviation in the U.S. and globally is on a mission to grow the economy and create meaningful, rewarding careers in one of the world’s most vital industries.
The Colorado investment by Pilatus highlights the significance of the United States as a primary market for the Swiss manufacturer’s PC-12 and PC-24 models. By establishing this new base, the company aims to offer a more tailored experience for buyers, allowing for greater personalization of their aircraft. Furthermore, the building is designed with sustainability in mind, targeting LEED Gold certification through the use of renewable energy sources such as solar panels to minimize its environmental footprint.
Independent studies show that business aviation helps support 1.3 million American jobs and contributes $340 billion to the U.S. economy.
