Business aviation has long been an incubator for sustainability innovations, and an important driver of economic opportunity – that’s the overarching message of the new CLIMBING. FAST. advocacy campaign, which aims to spread the word about business aviation’s many societal benefits, including the industry’s sustainability leadership.
FBOs, which are the nerve centers of that bring together people from all parts of the business aviation ecosystem, have found a unique and meaningful way to take up the CLIMBING. FAST. banner.
As Darren Hall, vice president of business development for Fargo Jet Center, Premier Jet Center, and Exclusive Aircraft Sales recently explained, his FBO decided to run the campaign’s promotional video as part of the flight center’s regular video programming rotation for passengers, workers and others at Fargo Jet Center and Premier Jet Center.
“They premiered the video at the NBAA Leadership Conference in February,” said Hall. “It does a great job of responding to some of the biggest misconceptions about business aviation, so I knew right away I wanted to show it at our FBOs. Within minutes of watching it, I emailed Ashley Granada at NBAA to learn how we could get access to the video.”
The video showcases the importance of business aviation to job creation, connecting locations without airline service, delivering humanitarian aid in times of crisis and developing game-changing sustainable technologies for improving efficiency and reducing emissions – the same benefits Hall’s small aviation businesses embody.
“Like business aviation as a whole, which employs more than a million people in the United States, we create a significant number of jobs in the communities we serve,” he said. “North Dakota is a rural state, so we often connect out-of-the-way locations. In terms of humanitarian aid, we’ve participated in a number of regional flood-relief efforts over the years. And in terms of innovation, we modify aircraft with more advanced technologies to improve safety, efficiency, and performance, for buyers and operators around the world.”
Hall is grateful for the resources and benefits his organization has access to as an NBAA member, and encourages others to join Fargo Jet Center and Premier Jet Center in NBAA’s new FBO Partnership Network.
“We’re always looking for ways to collaborate with NBAA,” Hall continued. “Airing the CLIMBING. FAST. video at our FBOs is just the latest way to do so. NBAA has a great story to tell about business aviation, and FBOs are an important part of sharing that story. I encourage other operators to join NBAA and help spread the word.”
