Sustainability initiatives and transatlantic partnerships mark its first year

Jet Aviation and Signature Aviation will greatly expand the footprint of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the U.S. next year, including finally bringing the renewable fuel to business aviation hubs in the Northeast.

At the NBAA-BACE media breakfast on Tuesday, a panel of aviation leaders shared insights into the industry's progress and challenges as it pushes toward a net-zero future.

A study commissioned by Airbus Corporate Jets indicates that the business aviation sector is projected to contribute approximately $182.8 billion to the U.S. economy within five years, up from around $150 billion currently.

Joby Aviation says it is now in the latter stages of the type certification process for its four-passenger eVTOL aircraft.

Three years in, the U.S. is on track to meet SAF production goal.
