GE Aerospace and GE Aerospace Foundation are channeling $500K into regional educational institutions and community organizations to strengthen the career progression of skilled aviation manufacturing talent in southwest Ohio. This investment strengthens technical and industrial instruction to directly address urgent labor shortages while opening employment opportunities within the aviation manufacturing industry.

The funding enables key institutions like Sinclair College and the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology to expand accelerated coursework and specialized certification programs. By reinforcing collaborative partnerships across the area, the project ensures that local job seekers gain the qualifications required by employers while seamlessly connecting students with active job opportunities in the growing aviation industry.

Independent studies show that business aviation helps support 1.3 million American jobs and contributes $340 billion to the U.S. economy.
