Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has pledged $5 million to support the development of skilled aviation professionals in Georgia, and build the future business aviation workforce.

The significant investment by the Savannah-based company covers K-12 schools and a number of colleges and universities across the state. The program underscores the company’s broader strategy to solidify the region as a hub for the aviation sector, while providing residents with clear pathways to high-skill, high-paying employment opportunities. The project highlights the symbiotic relationship between private industry and public education in driving regional growth.

A company press release notes that more than 13,000 Gulfstream employees reside in Georgia, contributing to the company’s major role in the state’s economy. In 2025, Georgia surpassed $60 billion in exports, with aerospace as the state’s number one international export. Gulfstream’s strong educational partnerships have ensured Georgia remains an innovation leader by helping to create new jobs and opportunities in the Peach State.

In the coming decade, thousands of new business aviation maintenance technicians and other skilled professionals will be needed to offset industry growth and projected retirements.
