Southern Energy Renewables and DevvStream Corp. are merging to establish a Louisiana-based company focused on constructing a new biofuel facility in St. Charles Parish. Supported by a substantial bond allocation from state development authorities, the plant is scheduled to break ground in 2026 and will convert wood waste into sustainable aviation fuel.

The project aims to meet the growing demand created by decarbonization mandates in the aviation sector, offering a renewable alternative.
