Archer Aviation has detailed its plan for an electric air taxi network in the greater Miami area, utilizing a combination of new and existing landing sites to connect major hubs like Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach.
The network will employ the company’s piloted Midnight electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which is designed to carry four passengers and execute frequent, short flights of ten to twenty minutes with minimal recharge downtime. This system is intended to alleviate significant traffic congestion in the built-up urban corridor by offering rapid travel between the region’s main population and business centers upon certification.
