Business aviation operator flyExclusive is broadening its footprint at the North Carolina Global TransPark in Kinston after state legislation redirected a $30 million government grant toward internal flight training and maintenance infrastructure.
The project includes building a dedicated facility equipped with high-tech flight simulators valued at roughly $12 million each, which is expected to boost local property tax revenue. The initiative will also generate more than 100 aviation jobs in Lenoir County as the company constructs and manages the new site.
By constructing the specialized complex, the firm aims to advance its strategy of vertical integration and bring flight training operations back to its home state. Company leadership projects that internalizing pilot instruction will yield over $5 million in annual savings by reducing expenses for third-party service providers and local lodging. Additionally, this in-house training pipeline complements existing maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities, allowing the company to improve service reliability and operational independence.
