Wisk Aero has initiated development of a dedicated vertiport facility at Hollister Municipal Airport in Northern California to advance its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft program.

Building upon its established presence at the airfield, where the enterprise regularly tests its self-flying aircraft, this site will incorporate specialized charging infrastructure, operational zones, and maintenance capability. The installation is designed to replicate authentic vertiport logistics, allowing engineers to streamline ground management alongside experimental flight routines.

This development represents a key step in Wisk’s push toward introducing commercial autonomous air mobility services across North America and empowering end users with zero-emissions flight solutions.

By embedding dedicated vertiport operations into an active regional airport, the company intends to refine passenger movement, automated system servicing, and airspace integration under real-world constraints. Insights gained from this installation will assist in shaping safety frameworks and standard procedures for future urban transportation networks.

Business aviation manufacturers are incubators for aircraft designs and propulsion systems that increase efficiency and reduce emissions while supporting jobs that power the economy.
