The university and three others aim to replace convention aviation fuel with hydrogen, which produces no carbon emissions when combusted, emitting only water.

Archer, a leader in all-electric advanced air mobility, will collaborate with JetEx, an on-demand flight support company, to build an infrastructure network at several dozen JetEx locations.

The company is ramping up production of SAF to more than half a million tonnes annually, as Europe heads toward a 6% SAF blend mandate in 2030. The game-changing fuel can reduce aviation carbon emissions by up to 80% over legacy fuels.

The decision makes the Florida county one of the first U.S. locations to provide eco-friendly advanced air mobility transport.
